Stake Sale Details Aggarwal sold a small portion of his personal shares to repay a ₹260 crore promoter loan, releasing all previously pledged 3.93% of shares. The promoter group retains about 34% ownership, the highest among new-age listed firms, signaling no dilution of control or shift in long-term strategy. This move eliminates pledge-related risks, boosting the company's stability without affecting operations or governance. Stock Performance At mid-morning trading, shares traded at ₹31.88, down 3% that day, 12% over five days, and 31% in six months. The firm's market cap stands at ₹14,115 crore on the NSE. Year-to-date losses reflect broader challenges in the EV sector. Financial Highlights In Q2 FY26, Ola reported a ₹418 crore net loss, improved from ₹495 crore last year, with revenue at ₹690 crore (down 43% YoY) on 52,666 vehicle deliveries. EBITDA loss narrowed to ₹203 crore from ₹379 crore YoY, and the auto segment achieved its first positive EBITDA of 0.3%. Positive Initiatives Ola launched Hyperdelivery in Bangalore for same-day registration and delivery of 4680 Bharat Cell vehicles, part of the Hyperservice push for customer convenience. Mass deliveries of these vehicles began last week, leveraging in-house registration processes. Aggarwal joins other promoters in de-risking via stake sales this year.
